Introduction to digital photography course, 26 March 2012, 10am-4.30pm

Are you struggling to get the photographs you aspire to?

Unsure how to get the best from your camera?

Then a day’s “Introduction to digital photography” course at Kelmarsh Hall will help lift your photography to a new level!

Spend a day with a professional photographer, really getting to grips with how your camera works, how to use the various settings to best effect, and how to compose great images.

Understand how to control exposure properly, select the right shutter speed, and frame an image well – and much more.

Designed very much for beginners in photography – especially those who have just bought a new SLR camera – the group is never more than 8 people in size, so there is plenty of time for questions and hands-on work.

The course is run by Simon Gregor (www.simongregorphoto.com), who specialises in architectural and nature photography. In addition, he regularly runs London walking tours which include “on foot” photography lessons, so is well used to helping people figure out how to get the most from whatever camera they have.

Kelmarsh Hall is a beautiful 18th century house and garden, set amidst rolling Northamptonshire countryside. The gardens are a perfect place to practice photographic technique, and students will also spend an hour or so in the house learning about interior shots.

Tickets cost £200 per person for a full day from 10am-4.30pm, and include all course handouts and materials, refreshments and a light lunch; as well as telephone support after the course has ended. 25% of all ticket sales goes directly to Kelmarsh Hall to help support the upkeep of this stunning property.
